I’m very excited to share this photo essay of the beautiful American west by Dallas photographer, David Spector.
David had planned a road trip to Arches and Capitol Reef National Parks, two of Utah’s five national parks. He booked a room that had no actual address, only map coordinates.
The next morning he awoke to find himself in this beautiful landscape where he could wander in solitude on unpaved trails. The following images were taken at sunrise in Capitol Reef Park, and sunset at Arches National Park. I love that these images are not the usual photographs of the red rock arches or sandstone monoliths of Utah’s national parks, but simple landscapes that evoke a sense of place.
If you’d like to learn more about Capitol Reef I’ve included this interesting National Geographic article link for you. To see more of David’s images from his Utah road trip visit his gallery: www.specto-graphy.com/story
